Body Mass Index (BMI) is a number calculated from a person's weight and height. BMI is used as a screening tool to determine your weight category, which may put you at higher risk for health problems, such as breast cancer.
Formula: weight (lb) / [height (in)]² x 703
Calculate BMI by dividing weight in pounds (lbs) by height in inches (in) squared and multiplying by 703.
Example: 140 pounds/[64 inches x 64 inches) x 703 = 24.0 BMI

18.5 – 24.9
25.0 – 29.9
